Hi Jeanette

Could you please get in contact with Robyn from Twenty Film Century media please .

Its regarding filming me at the event-I think they just need you to confirm a few things.

Idea: Ask them if they can film the whole event- You could put the fotage online meaning more people can watch it and be inspired.

Actually maybe run it past Steven too because he'sfunding the doco. The crew would only have to stay for an extra hour or two. If they couldn't go to the cost of editing it etc maybe one of your students could do it.

Robyns email is:

Robyn.Lingard@twentyfirstcenturymedia.com

Thanks

Hi

It was nice talking earlier too. For some reason I cant work properly unless all ideas are out of my head and on paper. Hence I had to write the following as soon a i put the phone down so I can continue my day.

(Please don’t think im trying to tell you what to do, im just an over excited ideas person. Ill prob just state the obvious and things you’re already doing)

Are you currently liaising closely with your college press office and have you spoken to lecturers in the media/PR/business department?- They’ll probably have lots of contacts and can give advice.

Pre Pr

Internal

• Around the college needs to be qwerky and bold
o Find something random and put it where it should be (reception of common room)- I.e a car, a giant piece of art/ sculpture, or few helium ballons with a catchy tag line with flyers next to it.
• Do you do registers?- can you get all staff to tell their student? Get them to start the announcement with a crazy word like Bannans or something. I know its sad. But people will pay more attention.
• Emails to students don’t just write ‘xyz is comnning’ start it with a random word that has nothing t do with it what so ever.
• Staff payroll- Attach info about the event to their payslips.

External
• Pre promo through newspapers, magazines and facebook groups prior to the event

During

• Radio station to attend (ring them)
• Regional TV news crew to film (ring them) Get this one and the rest will follow!!!

Bullet point the package your offering (people don’t like reading)

• Footage/audio from the speakers
• Ability to interview entrepreneurs
• People attending the event
• People starting business in the college

After Pr

Newspapers, student magazines, radio TV

• Can you get the event sponsored to get free things? By a pizza company- get free food or Lynx. I believe their specific companies that specifically deal with event sponsorship.
• Can you tie in any university partnerships- Ultimately it’s the next step for your students. Can you play the unis off against each other and get something extra for the event?

I hope the first part of the doco has been finished so we can screen it at the event!

But yes I’m up for the chat on stage, altho I cant make in on Monday.

Keep me updated and remind me because I have a billion things I am dealing with right now.

Thanks

Ken
